Animal Caretaker Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Essential Functions:

Must be hard working and goal orientated.
Work with all kinds of domestic animals.
Feed and water animals daily.
Maintain clean kennels.
Maintain accurate boarding statistics daily on all in-hospital animals.
Bathe and dry all kinds of domestic animals.
Lift and carry pet food for clients.
Position will include walking dogs outside “rain or shine”.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Enjoy animals and people, prompt and dependable, takes pride and ownership in work. Must be a self-starter, team player and able to perform routine tasks without being prompted.
Possibility for permanent position.

This description does not list all duties. Intern may be asked to perform other duties by the staff or supervisor. Intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects listed as well as interaction with employees and clients. On-site hours will be negotiated with each candidate.

Safety expectations, including harassment, should be reviewed with the host.
