Schrader Excavating & Grading Co. provides services in demolition, concrete and asphalt crushing, and recycling, and processing recycled aggregate gravel sites.
The Project Management Intern, under supervision of staff, will have the opportunity to learn about a career in project management through this experience
Essential Functions:
- Use and model appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision, and beliefs and in accordance with operation procedures and policies.

- Maintain a professional manner in your actions and appearance.
- Overview of Job Site Mapping and Job Bids.
- Applying for City or State Permits
- Calling in locates where work is to be done
- Daily conversations and email communications with customers,
- Morning meetings with Foreman
- Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
- Microsoft Excel
Minimum Requirements:
Skills/Knowledge: Must have the ability to follow instructions, strong organizational and communication skills, and be courteous and respectful. Intern must enjoy working with others free of bias, self-motivated, professional, and trustworthy. Confidential conduct is required. Must possess adequate math skills, and able to communicate with customers in a professional manner.
Experience/Education: Must be a high school student in good standing, and interested in pursuing project managment as a career after high school. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Attire: Business casual. Dress pants or jeans in good repair, with a conservative and professional top. Wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes. Steel toed boots recommended
General Physical Activities with or without Reasonable Accommodation: Frequent reaching, walking and lifting up to 30lbs. Occasional kneeling, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, grasping, pulling, and pushing and lifting over 30 lbs.
THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
