Internship Title: Elementary Teacher Intern

Essential Tasks:

· Help in the classroom with various activities such as one-on-one with students, working with small groups during centers and seat work.

· Carry out developmentally appropriate activities the teacher has prepared.

· Assist the teacher with small and large group activities.

· Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

· Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Ability to learn quickly. Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

· Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.

· Business casual attire.

· Previous experience with elementary age children is helpful but not required.

· Interest in exploring a career in elementary education.

· Ability to interact with young children in a positive enthusiastic manner.
