Essential Functions:

Observes patient/client interventions
Assist in preparation and cleaning of patient care areas and equipment
Performs routine clerical duties, helps gather patient charts
Gathers equipment and supplies for treatment, assist with maintaining department supplies
Maintains a safe and orderly work environment
Purposefully conducts all aspects of the job in an ethical manner
Follows established department policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player, and enjoy working with the public without bias or prejudice. Must be detail-oriented. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful. Basic computer skills needed as well as knowledge of office equipment.
Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Understanding of patient confidentiality.
Good public relations practices.
Ability to work well with others.
Maintain a professional appearance.
All Interns must complete "Student and Intern Requirements" paperwork, prior to starting their on-site hours

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
