Internship Title: Education Program Assistant

Tentative Summer 2024 Agenda:

· Introduction with host (17 years of museum experience) and tour of the Heritage Museum

· Summer Camp, assist (various locations in Iowa City and Coralville)

· Games in the Grove, Plum Grove

· Iowa City Parks and Rec Summer Camp collaboration

· Plum Grove, visitor self-guided tours of the house

Essential Functions:

· Preparing educational materials for visiting schools and youth groups.

· Interacting with small groups.

· Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image.

· Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

· Good communication skills, including writing and spoken skills.

· Ability to follow through with a project from beginning to end.

· An interest in education and working with the general public without bias.

· Ability to follow instructions, strong organizational skills, and possess a positive attitude while being flexible

· Must be professional, courteous, and respectful.
