This internship is at The Hangry Lady Brick and Mortar, with the intention of bringing you along for one off site catering (location of that TBD)

 

Office Hours: Tuesday 9am-1pm, Wednesday 11am-4pm, Thursday 11-4pm, Friday 11-5pm, Saturday 10-5pm, Sunday 9-2pm (hours are subject to change)

 


Essential Functions

  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.

  • Wash, peel, cut fruits and vegetables

  • Cut cheese and fold charcuterie meats

  • Portion jams and spreads

  • Fulfill orders as needed (make charcuterie boards, serve soup and drinks, make salads to order) 

  • Do dishes, sweep/mop, general closing duties

  • Regular and consistent attendance at work


Minimum Requirements

  • Must have good oral and communication skills.

  • Must be a high school student in good standing. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible. Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful.

  • Need to wear closed toe shoes, no rings, hair pulled back securely or in a hat, no sweat pants, clean and professional casual work wear. 

 

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
