Electrician Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

This internship will provide the student with the opportunity for career exploration in the field of electrical wiring, troubleshooting and design.
Will work alongside senior electricians
Should be self-motivated
Will learn/perform basic low voltage and high voltage circuits
Will assist in installing electrical wiring
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote a positive image
Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Skills/Knowledge:

Ability to follow instructions.
Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.
Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors.
Ability to work in a team environment
Willing to take direction and work independently
Good communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Must be a high school student in good standing

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
