Science Teacher Assistant

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

Assist in the development and preparation of science lessons
Assist students with lessons and assessments
Complete grading as assigned
Help keep work areas neat and organized
Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vison, and beliefs in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements

Ability to follow instructions in a professional and trustworthy manner.
Ability to learn quickly
Must communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Must be in good academic standing
Interest in pursuing a degree in science and/or education.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTIONS WITH STAFF AND STUDENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
