Intern Title: Adaptive Physical Education Intern
Description of Role:
- Use and model appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision, and beliefs and in accordance with operation procedures and policies.
- May assist in preparing class activities and help with some grading as directed by host teacher.
- Will learn student’s names to have a more personal 1 on 1 interaction.
- Help keep gym and storage areas neat and organized to promote positive image.
Minimum Requirements:
- Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions, strong organizational and communication skills, ability to be a team player. Must be detail-oriented, courteous and respectful, and professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Intern must enjoy working with young people, be a self-starter, motivated, and able to communicate clearly and concisely at each grade level.
- Experience/Education: Must be a high school student in good standing, and interested in pursuing a degree in Physical Education. Must be poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
- Attire: Appropriate Casual gym clothing attire/shoes.
THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.
SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
