Internship Title: Electric Engineering Intern

Role/Duties:

Assist electrical engineers with design, project management, calculations, field work and construction observation.
Student will have exposure to working in an engineering environment using software programs, electrical diagrams/plans, measurement tools, etc.
Student will gain knowledge of electrical principles, design, the utility system, etc.
Student will realize increased communication skills while assisting with project management duties both in the office and on construction sites.
Student will gain the ability to prioritize multiple projects over the summer.
Student will be given experience and an understanding of self-directed work and the creative process.
Student will provide administrative and design calculations for engineers.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE DUTIES LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, WILL BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
