This internship will be located at our Wellman, Iowa location.
Internship Length: 45 hours Business Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Stutsman’s is willing to work with students around their school schedule to fulfill the requirements of this internship. All internship hours will be completed during Stutsman’s business hours.

Company Overview:
In 1934, Eldon C. Stutsman started a milk route, and his neighbors soon asked him to bring supplies back from town. As a farmer himself, Eldon was glad to oblige. The requests kept coming and soon a company was born. Today, Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc. is Eastern Iowa’s largest supplier of agricultural products, retail, and wholesale. What’s more, Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc. is a multi-generational business and is still family owned.
Position Overview:
This unpaid 45-hour internship will guide you through what it’s like to work in agricultural operations at our Wellman, Iowa location through hands-on experiences. You’ll have the opportunity to work with several Stutsman employees to explore career opportunities in the office, in the field, chemical/fertilizer plant and equipment shop.
Responsibilities:
Some of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with the following: work as applicable on equipment in our shop, deliveries to the field, mix plant order fulfillment, ticketing/inputting work orders, sprayer routing, and, if time permitting, receive an overview of our precision ag program.
Requirements:
Requirements of this internship assume the student:
• Will coordinate with Stutsman’s to put together a working schedule
• Has their own transportation to and from facility
• Follows all safety protocols
• Will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Will not participate in activities of which they are not licensed or authorized
• Will sign a non-solicitation/non-dissemination agreement upon starting

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
