Greenhouse and Florist Student Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: To be Determined

Essential Functions:
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Operate Register & Assist Customers
- Answer Phone Calls, Take Orders
- Prepping Fresh Cut Flowers
- Wash Buckets
- Water Houseplants
- Plant Care, Prepping, Planting, Pruning, Sorting & Display

Requirements:
- Attire:conservative apparel, jeans in good repair. Covered toe shoes or boots.
- 16 years of age and a student in good standing interested in Horticulture/Floriculture.
- Prompt and punctual.
- Ability adhere to company policy regarding appropriate use of tools and facilities.
- Willingness to learn about plant names and purposes.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
