Internship: Cosmetology Intern

Functions:

Observing Customer Service/Learning

Sweeping, dusting, laundry etc. (cleaning), folding towels

Answering the phone/scheduling clients, greeting clients

Assist with retail product display arrangements.

Work alongside stylists as per Iowa regulations.

Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to follow instructions.

Strong organizational skills a plus.

Must be able to communicate well and be comfortable working with the public.

Professional conduct and reliability required.

Must be courteous and respectful to clientele and staff.

Must be a high school student in good standing and possess a positive attitude.

Casual business attire is recommended.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
