Intern Title: EMS Students Intern

Requirements:

· Must have flexible hours (which may include long shifts on weekends or school breaks).

· Student realizes, should they choose to go on a call during their time at the station, it may result in them leaving later than expected.

· Become CPR certified (if not already, we can offer this for a fee).

· Must complete Ride Along Packet and to return to Ambulance Service before starting ride along/internship.

· Must follow ALL directions given to you by ambulance personnel.

· Must adhere to the guidelines provided in Ride Along Packet.

· Must wear required attire at all times on duty (see Ride Along Packet).

· Must adhere to the safety guidelines provided in Ride Along Packet at all times.

· Must follow HIPAA guidelines at all times (Ride Along Packet).

· Additional paperwork to be completed prior to starting onsite.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
