Internship Title: Cosmetology Mentor Intern

Essential Functions:

-Student will greet guest with a smile and offer water, tea, coffee and let check guest in at computer.

-Student will keep shampoo area clean and organized.

-Student will mentor under stylist. Watching but not over stepping area in which guest is. (Student has salon literature to read while watching stylist).

-Student can ask questions after guest and stylist are done. Not during service. Taking notes is allowed.

-Sweeping hair after guest leaves chair

-Student is not to sit in break room unless on break. Every 4 hours, half hour break is available.

-Student can work on mannequin head and practice techniques stylist shows

-Student must dress professional with no low cut shirts or shorts or skirt shorter than 1 inch above knee's.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
