Livestock Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs

Essential Functions:

Assist in preparing, mixing and delivering feed
Use Digistar feed management system to prepare feed mixtures and deliver to appropriate pens
Help maintain animal health.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age at time of internship
Must have current driver’s license
Knowledge of basic machinery maintenance, safety procedures, and care/feeding of livestock.
Must be prompt, reliable and willing to work early hours and in inclement weather

This job description does not list all the job duties. Intern may be asked to perform other duties by the owners. Intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects listed as well as interaction with others. Work hours will be negotiated with each candidate.
