Session Availability: Fall, Spring, Summer, Winter
Internship Length: 45 hrs

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Assist with local percussion practice sessions and lessons
  • Assist program staff with special projects as needed.
  • Assist with promoting and scheduling of shows, signing up drummers
  • Assist with planning, preparing and implementing outreach activities for youth members.
  • Assist with contacting participants, adding new members to the database, office work
  • Assist with researching grant opportunities
  • Promote positive image.  Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Skills/Knowledge:  Ability to follow instructions.  Must have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player.  Must be detail-oriented.  Professional and trustworthy conduct is required.  Must be courteous and respectful.
  • Enjoy working with children, self-starter, motivated

 

This job description does not list all the job duties.  Intern may be asked to perform other duties by the staff or supervisor.  Intern will be evaluated on performance of the projects listed as well as interaction with employees and clients.  Work hours will be negotiated with each candidate.
