Farm Management Intern

Internship Length: 45 hrs
Office Hours: 7AM-7PM

Functions:

Farm Maintenance and mechanical repair under supervision of host
Lathe/Mill exposure in making machinery and repair parts under supervision of host
Livestock care in cow/calf operation under supervision of host
Carpentry projects under supervision of host
Agronomy planning and exposures to GPS Mapping and farm management systems, software and accounting processes under supervision of host.

Minimum Requirements:

Skills/Knowledge: Ability to follow instructions. Professional and trustworthy conduct is required. Must be courteous and respectful.
Knowledge of basic machinery maintenance, safety procedures, and care/feeding of livestock.
Must have current drivers license.
Must be mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
