Internship Title: Construction Project Management Intern

About Business: Company is known as Eastern Iowa's premier asphalt paving contractor.

Essential Functions:

Meet daily with general field superintendent:
Go to job sites to meet with subcontractors.
Help in coordinating upcoming work for the crews.
Layout projects by measuring and shooting elevations with grade laser.
Meet with estimators:
Learn to do various take offs of blue prints for bidding purposes.
Learn the process of bidding projects.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
