Internship Title: Classroom Assistant

Essential Functions:

Assist classroom teacher with instructional activities at the junior high level.
Assist media specialist with computer related activities.
Help teacher and students as needed in the classroom.
Assist with special projects.
Help keep work areas neat and organized to promote positive image. Use appropriate behavior in keeping with the mission, vision and beliefs and in accordance with operating procedures and policies.

Minimum Requirements:

Ability to follow instructions and have strong organizational and communication skills, be a team player and be detail-oriented.
Professional, trustworthy, and respectful conduct.
Experience with computers and willingness to learn new technology.
Ability to handle several different assignments and work with interruptions.
High school student in good standing. Poised, mature and possess a positive attitude while being flexible.
Business casual attire required.

THIS DESCRIPTION DOES NOT LIST ALL DUTIES. INTERN MAY BE ASKED TO PERFORM OTHER DUTIES BY THE STAFF OR SUPERVISOR. INTERN WILL BE EVALUATED ON PERFORMANCE OF THE PROJECTS LISTED AS WELL AS INTERACTION WITH EMPLOYEES AND CLIENTS. ON-SITE HOURS WILL BE NEGOTIATED WITH EACH CANDIDATE.

SAFETY EXPECTATIONS, INCLUDING HARASSMENT, SHOULD BE REVIEWED WITH THE HOST.
